Iron Man Comics

  The Iron Man super hero character was published by Marvel Comics in 1963, first appearing in Tales of Suspense issue #39 comic book.  Attributed to creation by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Don Heck and Jack Kirby.  The Iron man Comics feature Tony Stark (born Anthony Edward Stark) or Stark industries, a weapons manufacture.  Tony is kidnapped and ultimately creates a suit of armor providing him superior protection and the ability to fly.   He uses this suit to fight crime.

Iron Man is an integral member of The Avengers and has starred in his own comic book series.  Iron Man has seen a huge resurgence in popularity due to the blockbuster movies Iron Man.
